Welcome!
This season, we have a romantic theme: My Week with Marilyn, Romantics Anonymous and Midnight in Paris. Four-piece band, Minima, return with their unique accompaniment to the 1920 German classic silent film The Cabinet of Dr Caligari, which promises to be as exciting as Nosferatu last year. Robinson In Ruins is being screened in partnership with the Museum of English Rural Life as part of their fascinating exhibition curated by the artist Justin Partyka; and we will be showing more films in the new Minghella cinema, next door. Please note that seats in the Minghella cinema are limited so we would recommend members reserving seats or turning up early.

RFT Goes Digital!
We are passionate about film and want to continue to provide a quality film experience. New films are being released in digital format instead of 35mm. To allow us to keep showing the latest film releases, we need to raise thousands of pounds to buy the digital projector and equipment needed. We are launching a fundraising campaign in 2012 and would like as many people as possible to get involved. See our website for more information about how you can help.

Reading Film Theatre is delighted to announce that we will be screening the silent classic, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari, this season.
Reading Film Theatre is grateful for the support of the University of Reading’s Arts Committee which is providing funds towards this special screening. The film will be accompanied by a band of four lively musicians from the company Minima who bring their own interpretation to the film and who make the event a delight for both film and music lovers. Many of you will have enjoyed our accompanied screening of Nosferatu last year. Don’t miss this unique film event on Thursday 1st March 2012.
